Electro-Accuscope
Electro-Accuscope can control and minimize acute and chronic pain such as bursitis, whiplash, and pulled muscles in most cases.
This instrument has demonstrated that injured, inflamed, diseased, and dysfunctional tissues are electro-conductive to a much lesser extent than are healthy tissues. Electrical stimulation to the damaged tissues via Electro-Accuscope therapy restores normal electro-conduction to the damaged tissues and a reduction of pain results. Electro-Accuscope stimulates the body's cells, improving circulation, and thereby allowing the damaged cells to heal more quickly.
The proven effectiveness of this technique accounts for its widespread use by physical therapists and professional football team physicians alike. In fact, one team physician said that almost every player voluntarily comes in twice a day for Electro-Accuscope treatment on any variety of aches and pains.
The principles and techniques of Electro-Accuscope therapy are very similar to those of traditional Acupuncture; Electro-Accuscope, however, stimulates points electrically rather than through needling. The treatment has consistently and repeatedly shown that the correct flow of electrical energies improves circulation, stimulates the body's normal healing processes, and immediately reduces pain.
Auriculotherapy can also be used in conjunction with Electro-Accuscope therapy. Auriculotherapy is based on the notion that every place of the body has a coupled place on the ear. By treating a particular point on the ear, the corresponding place of the body is indirectly treated. For example, if one's wrist is sprained, the wrist point on the ear would be treated as well as the specific place of injury on the wrist.
