Diet factors that negatively influence the immune system are nutrient deficiencies from not eating or eating empty calories, eating foods you’re allergic to (sometimes unknowingly), eating lots of sugar, and having high cholesterol.

On the other hand eating a diet of whole, natural foods will optimize your immune system. A healthy diet includes fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, seeds, and nuts. It should be low in fats and refined sugars, and contain adequate but not excessive levels of proteins. Make sure you are drinking five to six 8-oz glasses of clean, pure water every day.
